Her music is her own, rooted in American Folk and Blues - with influences from great balladeers from across the globe. Her new album, “Beyond the Sky,” was written, composed, and recorded in the San Francisco Bay Area, where the dynamism of the urban environment cast a colorful spell, while the pull to a wilder, simpler life was always present. World-renowned musician, collaborator, and friend, Ricky Fataar, produced and mixed every track. Stas Mari is a native of Carpinteria, California, and now calls the Big Sur coast her home. She was raised in a multi-lingual, Dutch-Ukrainian household on music, organic avocados, and cut flowers, with the lure of the Pacific Ocean always beckoning right down the road. Now a mother of two young boys, she finds meaningful moments to sing and play with her family.
